Stacey Duckett

Stacey is an applied clinical nutritionist and hypnotist.  She has completed a Certification in Sleep: Neurobiology, Medicine, and Society, from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Also, she has a Certificate for completion on The Science of Well-Being, a series of challenges designed to increase your own happiness and build more productive habits from Yale University.   With her education and discovery with what works for a better sleep, she has authored Sensational Sleep.     As a Doctor of Chiropractic since 1993, and dealing with patients recovering from injuries, she realized that a lot was due to lifestyle of not just nutrition and exercise but of their sleep habits.  Patients with proper sleep tend to recover quicker from injuries.  Ones with chronic pain tend to have improper sleep habits. Training for marathons, Stacey noticed as she was getting older, she was getting sorer than what would be typical.  She experienced herself that as one ages, especially the female during menopause, is likely to get less sleep.  With less sleep one tends to have more headaches, more pain, gain weight, mood swings affecting their relationships and less cognitive ability affecting their work.   There is a cascade of reasons as to why one has issues with sleep and that is imperative to figure out to help with the solution.  Taking medicine in the short term for certain reasons can be beneficial but if long term it becomes a crutch with consequences to their overall health.  She found through improving her sleep habits, nutrition, and ergonomics she was able to improve both quality and quantity of sleep.   Waking up daily feeling excited about the day with alertness, increased cognition, improved metabolism and exercising without the extra pain she decided on sharing the information with others to help improve their quality of life in so many ways.
